Redskins surprise Eagles, 17-12

The Washington Redskins continued their NFC East dominance so far this year with a 17-12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

It was a big day for the Redskins because it meant the return of quarterback Donovan McNabb to Philadelphia.

McNabb received a standing ovation from the Philly faithful as he was announced during player introductions.

The quarterback didn’t have his best day in the NFL, but he did break off a couple of key first down runs, especially late in the game. ( Read More…)

Redskins fall to Ravens, 23-3

The Washington Redskins fell to the Baltimore Ravens, 23-3, in the preseason version of the Battle of the Beltways.

It was a pitiful performance from Washington, particularly from its reserves throughout the second half.

The first team hung tough in the first half against the Ravens, taking an early lead and slowing down their high-powered offense.

It took a fake punt from the Ravens to get down to the goaline to score their first touchdown of the game. ( Read More…)

Williams falling behind

Washington Redskins first-round draft pick Trent Williams is still unsigned and falling behind.

Williams is being penciled in as the team’s starting tackle, but he is missing valuable time because he has not yet signed a contract.

Only one first-round pick has signed with less than a week until training camp opens, which is causing major concern.

The Redskins offensive line was atrocious last season and Williams was brought in to help patch some holes. ( Read More…)
